About Work-Appropriate
Work-Appropriate is a comic strip about how a group of friends transitions to the real world after graduating from college. They often find that when they mix
dating, drinking, and some work they get more drinking.
Characters
- Ace - a grad student, if you couldn't tell from his beard, that is trying to find the answers to life's greatest questions, which he often poses to his drinking buddy, Martini Mammal.
- Chello (Bret Bartechello) - needs a job and lives at home, which poses challenges for him on the dating scene.
- Sandy (Sandeep) - Ace's roommate. Of the guys he is the only one with a job. He isn't around much during the week because he is often out of town on consulting projects. He is nearly always smiling and likes to share his knowledge about women with Chello.
- Belvi - Ace's girlfriend. She tries to keep Ace in check and sometimes challenges his perspectives on life.
- Fat people - they are what make the comic strip real.
Medium
Currently, the comic strips are drawn with pen and ink (old school style), scanned into a digital format, and then colored with an ancient drawing program.
